You want it Darker is a documentary about artist Natasja Kensmil.

Natasja Kensmil (Amsterdam, 1973) lives and works in Amsterdam and was educated at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and De Ateliers.

In her work, Kensmil often refers to historical themes and the interaction between past and present. Contradictions such as power and impotence, the earthly and the spiritual, and sacrifice and violence play a major role in this. With the many details, layers and nuances in her large canvases, Kensmil confronts us with the dark sides of our human existence and our history.
