Diamond dust

Diamond Dust gives a look behind the scenes of the Jewish diamond trade in Antwerp, which is facing increasing competition from traders from India.

Antwerp has been the Mecca of the international diamond trade for four centuries. Eighty percent of all rough diamonds in the world and forty percent of polished diamonds are traded here. But the industry is under pressure: the traditionally Jewish diamond trade is slowly but surely being taken over by Indians, shifting the emphasis from quality and craftsmanship to quantity and trade.
