The Sharp view of Aat Veldhoen

Together with Kees Hin, Interakt has made a film about the work and life of artist Aat Veldhoen.

Binoculars are placed in front of the window of his large house on the Wittenburgergracht, aimed at the bus shelter on the other side. Aatje Veldhoen sits next to the binoculars and draws. He draws the waiting outside. Veldhoen has been drawing with his left hand for a few years, because his right hand has not been usable since his attack in 2004. He doesn't speak as much as he used to, but he sees all the better. The film is a parade, a dance along all women, men, children, situations that Aatje has seen, experienced and, above all, felt. An emotional, moving and possessed journey through life. It becomes a circus of the moving, foolish person. A happy party of dancing and sometimes a fight for a better life.
