Together with the NTR and Buma Cultuur, Interakt has made a series of short documentaries about contemporary Dutch composers.
The composer is filmed at the place where he or she works during the making process. They are filmed when they are most vulnerable, but also most honest and unadorned. The composer exposes himself and the filmmaker adds his vision. This creates a real and pure image of the composer. Seeing the composer walking and sitting, writing notes, hearing him or her talk and play and looking into his workspace also provides an interesting addition to the compositions. Imagine if we still had images of Bach while we watch him compose!
